What is ''Floating''

A 90-minute float session is equivalent to 4 to 5 hours of sleep. There is no sense of time and there are no external stimuli. At Aqua Floating Limburg you float in a salt water pool that is equal to body temperature in terms of heat. As a result, body and mind are completely relaxed. The world outside does not exist for a while and you are alone with your own breathing. Because you are completely weightless and seem to float, the body can completely relax. All your muscles relax naturally. You are alone with your thoughts that you can also slowly let go because you are completely cut off from the outside world.

Our Float tanks

Our float pods, also called "float tanks", are over 8 feet long and 5 feet wide. Each pod is imported from Romania and is housed in a soundproof room with a luxury shower. The water is continuously cleaned and exceeds the highest drinking water standards in the world.

 

Thanks to advanced technology, the salt water is filtered, sterilized and heated day and night. The water is saltier than the Dead Sea, which makes it impossible for bacteria to survive.

Beginner's guide for beginners

We welcome you at Aqua Floating Limburg in Lauw, 5 minutes from Tongeren Belgium. When you have booked a float session with us, you step into your own private space in the shower and then with or without swimwear in the float tank that is filled approximately 25 cm deep with water and 400 KG of epsom salt. Epsom salts make it feel like you're floating. As you gently lie back, the buoyancy of the water fully supports your body, allowing you to completely relax. The serene environment enhances this experience, helping you disconnect from everyday stress and enjoy a deep sense of calm.

 

To enhance relaxation, we offer 10 minutes of soothing music and mood lighting to start your session. For the next 90 minutes you surrender and you don't need anything. You let your body and mind relax, experience the deep relaxation. After 90 minutes the mood lights will come on again and we will close the session with 5 minutes of music. Afterwards we will let you know via the intercom that you can leave the tank and take a shower. Feel free to use our Prep Room after your session which has blow dryers, lotions and cotton swabs, bring a comb or brush if necessary.

We highly recommend that all our customers spend some time in our spa lounge after their float.

We recommend scheduling three float sessions within 30 days to experience the full benefits. Plus, the longer you float, the better the experience. Each float session lasts 90 minutes, giving you plenty of time to reach and maintain theta brainwaves.
